2024 Year End Review

As we near the end of 2024, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the experiences I have had throughout the year. From diving into a few new video game releases and a couple of early access ones to perfecting a couple of recipes in the kitchen, 2024 has been a year filled with various entertaining activities. Let’s take a closer look at the things that have played a significant role year.

One of the highlights of 2024 was the early access release of old-school style FPS Selaco. As of the time of this writing I have sunk 27 hours into this game and have loved every minute of it! Just goes to show that the developers can still pull a rabbit out of the hat with old school Doom tech. This game is definitely polished and it shows. I love all the easter eggs tucked away in the game here and there as well as well as getting a few of the achievements that involve some thinking outside the box tactics. Would definitely recommend if you are into “Boomer Shooters”. I might make a separate blog post about it soon. My own personal video game review, if you will. Wouldn’t want to make a habit out of reviewing video games though. I will leave that to the pros.

Gaming has definitely been my go-to stress reliever this year. It’s amazing how getting lost in a virtual world can help me unwind after a long day.

I know a lot of folks are really into TikTok, but I have found YouTube, for me at least, to be a valuable resource for learning new skills, gaining tidbits of knowledge and just some general entertainment. From tutorials on cooking and DIY projects to informative documentaries, the platform offers a wealth of content.

I expanded my culinary skills a smidge in 2024. I tried out some new recipes and experimented with new ingredients. Air fryer pizzas are a thing I have managed to perfect and even made a YouTube video or two about it.

Spending time tinkering out in the yard offered a welcome break from indoor routines and screen time. Tending to the vegetable garden bed, mowing the lawn, or simply relaxing watching the goldfish in my little pond provided a refreshing change of scenery. Yard work also proved to be a great way to stay active and get some exercise while enjoying the outdoors.

As we wrap up 2024, lets all try to look back on the past year and carry forward the lessons learned and memories made as we embrace the new adventures in 2025. 🙂
